Ref: Basement - Underfloor Plan
Ramp Stands, elevate the vehicle for installation and service of undercarriage components.
Here is the second design, using about half of the wood, half the cost, and half the weight. Each stand is made from a single 10’ long 2 x 10, pressure-treated yellow pine plank. The boards were first glued with Tite Bond III glue, then nailed with 2" stainless nails and finally 2" stainless deck screws.
Made from stacked 2 x 10 pressure-treated lumber.
The first trial. I used a tamper to get the footings flat and level. On first use, there was no sound of creaking or cracking, the design and execution appear to be rock solid.
This is probably as close to the ceiling as you want to get. Much higher and the raps would have to be used outside the carport.
