Duluth is an interesting town with a large hill that dives down into the western end of Lake Superior. A hundred years ago Duluth was the second largest port in the US, only behind New York. The city also serves as the main train hub for the entire region.
The Duluth Play It Again Sports, had enough hockey gear to equip an entire league!
Foggy and wet, a local coffee shop offered visual musings. This one would not only look like nice on the wall, but would help one think outside of the box.
I chatted with a older disabled man who told me of his career. In his younger years he served on pre-ww2 tug boats in the great lakes and nearly died a few times. Later he founded a security company based in Texas.
The Lake Superior Railroad Museum
In 1905, the city built an Ariel Bridge with a Gondola. The superstructure looks similar to the use used by bridge today.
They were catching lake trout. Each boat only had a few due to the catch limits.

Fun little Harvest Host bar. They have a small festival area that is perfect for RV/Camping gatherings.
The roadside vegetable stands were great. Old World Meats in Duluth had a wide variety of beef, pork and seafood. The cabinet of whole ribeye steaks looked wonderful.
